Meet Mariah

Mariah Stockdale is a writer from Nova Scotia whose poetry reflects her lived experiences with mental health, motherhood, relationships, and personal recovery.

After psychosis hit, Mariah turned to poetry. It helped her sort out thoughts, feelings, paving a path to healing. Private notes grew into raw poems, tracing her steps to recovery and self-understanding.

Her words hit close to home but touch many lives. Mariah wants readers to feel less alone in hard times. She aims for them to draw power from being vulnerable.

Away from her desk, she’s a loving mom to two kids. She grows, heals, and finds new parts of herself each day.
